“Do not be greedy from the tee, aim up the middle or just right of centre keeping away from the bunkers. The second will be all uphill – take at least one club more than you think as the green is well above you and slopes from back to front – long left is safest if in doubt.”

Hole Description

A challenging par 4 where the ideal drive down the hill needs to be shaped if you are to avoid the bunkers and the old quarry area. The hole plays longer than you think, the incline on the second shot adds an additional 9 yards to the yardage due to the fact that the green built in the 1930s by the Herbert Fowler/Tom Simpson partnership is positioned on the summit of an incline.
