“A fairly generous drive but then care must be taken with the second to avoid the bunkers that stand sentry either side of the fairway. Long hitters can take them on and carry the bunkers otherwise play short and down the right side and rely on a pitch and putt for a birdie chance.”
This is a definite birdie chance for long hitters on this par 5 despite the additional fairway bunkering added by Herbert Fowler in 1927 to provide a greater challenge.
